Maintenance Formulas are ideal for pet birds and breeding birds outside of the breeding season.

They are a complete diet formula with each pellet containing a full complement of nutrients.  This negates the common problem of picky feeding as the pellet and its nutrients are consumed as a complete package.  Maintenance formulas can constitute 100% of the birds diet, although other foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables can be used to enhance dietary variety, enrichment, training and natural behaviour.

Psittacus Parrot Omega Maintenance Formula 3kg Product Details:

Ideal for young birds of medium and large species up to one year of age.  It can also be offered exclusively or as a compliment to adult individuals of different species.  For example, it can be offered as often and as much as required to genera Ara, Psittacus and Poicephalus.

This food is better used only occasionally or as a compliment to species that tend to gain weight, such as genera Amazona, Cacatua, Psittacula or Eclectus.  In the case of Eclectus, Omega must be supplemented with plenty of sweet fruit.

Due to its great palatability, Omega formula is an ideal tool to transition birds from an all-seed diet to a pelleted one.
